A STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL
Being a journalist means taking risks in order to seek information.
During the pandemic that our country experienced, images and testimonies from inside hospitals were rare, especially those from intensive care units where the rate of contagiousness was very high.
I then decided to spend 24 hours in a COVID department of the hospital in Blida where the first cases were detected.
In order to collect testimonies from patients and nursing staff, I decided to work alone using a smartphone and MOJO equipment.
This proximity allowed me to make a documentary in Arabic and French in order to convey the messages of those who are suffering and at the same time remind them the importance of respecting the protective measures, the only way to avoid contamination.
This documentary has been distinguished by the members of the jury during the competition of the President of the Republic for the best professional journalist of the year 2021.
